What happens to the details you give us, in plain English.
Who We Are
FirstScapes is a family-run landscaping business based in Hazlemere, Buckinghamshire. The business is FirstScapes Ltd, registered in England and Wales with company number 17174662. Our registered office is [[site.registered_office]].
We decide what happens to the details you send us, so in data protection law we are the “controller”.

What We Collect, and When
When you send our enquiry form, we collect five things:
- your name
- your phone number
- your email address
- your postcode
- the details you give us about your project
The form also has a hidden field that you never see or fill in. It catches automated spam and holds nothing about you.
If you phone or email us instead, we have your number or address and whatever you tell us.
When you visit the site, our web host, Cloudflare, handles each request. Like any web host, it processes technical details such as your IP address and the browser you use, to deliver the page and protect the site from attacks.
We do not use analytics, advertising pixels or any other tracking.
Why We Use It, and the Lawful Basis
We use your details to reply to your enquiry, arrange a visit, measure up and send you a quote.
Data protection law needs a lawful basis for this. We rely on two:
- Taking steps at your request before a contract. You asked us for a quote, and we need your details to give you one.
- Legitimate interests. We have a legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us and in keeping a record of what was said.
How Long We Keep It
We keep enquiries for 12 months, then erase them.
If an enquiry turns into a job, we keep the records for that job for longer, as the law requires for our accounts.
Who We Share It With
We only share your details with the services below, and only so they can do their part.
- Cloudflare hosts this website. When you send the form, your enquiry passes through Cloudflare’s servers on its way to us. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
- HighLevel (GoHighLevel) is the system we use to manage enquiries. Your enquiry is stored there so we can reply, arrange a visit and keep track of it. See HighLevel’s privacy policy.
- Google, only when the reviews section shows reviews from Google. Your browser then loads each reviewer’s profile photo from Google’s servers, so Google receives your IP address. We send Google nothing else about you. See Google’s privacy policy.
Cloudflare, HighLevel and Google may process data outside the UK.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. There is no analytics or advertising on it.
If that changes, we will ask for your consent first, unless a cookie is strictly needed for the site to work, and we will update this page.
Links to Other Websites
Some pages link to other sites, such as Facebook, Instagram, Google, Buckinghamshire Council and the Planning Portal. Once you follow a link, that site’s own privacy policy applies.
Your Rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the details we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete your details
- limit how we use them
- stop using them, if you object to how we use them
- give you your details in a format you can take elsewhere
Some of these depend on why we hold the data. If one does not apply, we will tell you why.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). The ICO also explains your data protection rights in more detail. We would like the chance to put things right first, so please contact us too.

We will reply within one month. There is usually no charge.
Changes to This Policy
If the way we handle your details changes, we will update this page and the date below.
