When is the best time to lay new turf?
Spring and autumn are best, when the ground is warm and moist. Turf can go down for much of the year, but not on frozen ground or in a summer drought. Fake grass can be laid at almost any time.
How do I look after new turf?
Water it every day for the first couple of weeks unless it rains, keep off it while it roots, and give it a first light cut once it has taken hold. We talk you through it when the lawn is laid.
